Saturday, August 1: Cheena Marie Lo & tessa micaela

Cheena Marie Lo is a poet based in Oakland, CA, where they co-founded the Manifest Reading and Workshop Series. They are the author of chapbooks NO FILTER (Aggregate Space 2014), Ephemera & Atmospheres (Belladonna* 2014). Their first book, A Series of Un/Natural/Disasters, is forthcoming from Commune Editions in 2016.

tessa micaela carries with her a list of things to learn in a lifetime; the list keeps getting longer, and currently includes midwifery, carpentry, bicycle repair, edible local plants, dog training, and the best forgotten places in the middle of the city to get lost in. tessa is a full-spectrum doula, community educator, book maker and quiet firecracker living in Oakland. Her book, there are boxes and there is wanting, is forthcoming from Trembling Pillow Press.
